Conte: Threatened Italian national team slumped For Talent Shortage

ROME - A day after FIFA released the latest football rankings, Italy coach Antonio Conte expressed concern over the future of Gli Azzurri. Conte openly warned that Italy would be difficult to play competitively in the future if the foreign players continue to dominate in the clubs of Serie A. In his latest release, FIFA put Italy in the ranking of 17. It is the lowest rating ever occupied the Azzurri since the system the ranking was introduced by FIFA. In the ranking, Gianluigi Buffon and his colleagues were under other teams like Slovakia, Croatia, Chile and even Wales. Conte could not hide his concern over that fact. Ex-Juventus coach then explained the situation facing Italian football now. According to him, threatened the Italian national team slumped in the future because of lack of young talents. It was triggered by the policy of Serie A clubs who prefer to buy and play foreign players. "My concern ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifying is how things have greatly changed since we last won the World Cup in 2006," Conte said as quoted by Football Italia. "At that time," said Conte, "coach has the possibility of choosing 61 or 62 man squad of around 100 existing players. Now, the number dropped drastically. We only had the possibility of selecting 33 of the 100 existing players. This is the real problem and the greatest danger that we are facing now. It is very difficult for Italy to be competitive if we could only choose 33 percent of all existing players. It means there is a problem and we have to reverse that trend, "said Conte. One of the most feared post is the position of the attacker. Currently, according to Conte's Italian national team did not have much choice in the front line. To overcome it, one of the strategies taken by Conte is to call players Oriundi. Oriundi referring to the players who are not born in Italy. But they have Italian citizenship or has blood Italia.Terdapat oriundi least two players who were called Conte strengthen the Italian national team. They are Eder and Franco Vazquez, who was born in Argentina but defended the Italian national team. - See more at: http://www.jpnn.com/read/2015/07/11/314518/Conte:-Timnas-Italia-Terancam-Terpuruk-Sebab-Kekurangan-Bakat-#sthash.JEiIOsM4.dpuf
